Hélène Raynal's unique pieces are contemporary ceramics « turned » to simple shapes and pure/neat lines. Turning is a first passion that has grown over the years. It’s hypnotizing and gives her a meditative state that she could not do without.

Her second passion is to paint her « volumes », her ceramics where she freely expresses a raw, spontaneous improvised language.

When she paints, she withdraws, she fades, abandons herself to emptiness and nourishes herself from it. She lets herself slip into the unknown. And it is in this void that this singular calligraphy is born, where everything is instinct, improvisation, expression of the moment.
